It is our way of saying thanks and giving back to you, the running/walking community, as well as giving us all the opportunity to help those in our community who are in need of food.

The LUM Turkey Trot 5K Run is open to runners of all ages and abilities and welcomes runners, walkers, dogs, strollers, wagons, turkey hats and more. The Turkey Trot 5K convenes at the Walmart in West Lafayette and follows the Cattail Trail Loop — which is completely flat and paved and allows participants to run on a scenic route through the Celery Bog nature area on a crisp November morning.
All Turkey Trot 5K proceeds directly support the programs and services offered by Lafayette Urban Ministry.
Turkey Toss at Wolf Park

Join Wolf Park for the Annual Turkey Toss! It’s Thanksgiving, turkey for everybody! Take part in the holiday festivities- Walk the trail to watch our animal ambassadors enjoy their Thanksgiving treats. Staff will be stationed along the trail to answer any questions. Get outside, walk off that big Thanksgiving dinner – Let’s learn together!
Please make reservations! This event is free to members. Show your membership card at admissions. Please bring your mask to wear inside the facilities, if necessary. Thank you!
