11/15 – 12/23 Candy Cane Tours at McCords Candies – Open to the public on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Tours last about 45 minutes and include a candy cane! $5 per person
11/22 – 12/29 2019 Christmas Open House at Linden Depot Museum – Open Friday – Sunday from Noon to 5:00 PM at the Linden Depot Museum. See the full-sized replica of an 1837 Norris 4-2-0 Steam Engine. Receive a Linden Depot Museum Ornament with a donation of $10.
11/24 Holiday Cookie Swap – 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the West Lafayette Public Library. Free event, no registration required, bring 3 dozen of your favorite holiday cookies and a copy of your recipe! Event begins at 2:00 PM
12/1 Christmas Traditions Craft Class at The Farm at Prophetstown – From 1:00 PM — 3:00 PM at The Farm at Prophetstown State Park. Learn how to make some decorations from the 1920’s, including crepe paper rosettes and trees, jointed Santas, “snaps” and more. Registration required 765-567-7400.
12/2 Christmas Tree Arrives at the Union – 12:00 PM at the Purdue Memorial Union Great Hall. Come see the beginning of the Holiday season with the arrival of the Christmas Tree at Purdue University!
12/4 – 12/6 Holiday Performances and Guess the Lights on the Christmas Tree – Wednesday – Friday from 10:30 AM to 2:00 PM. Come listen to the Choir and guess how many strands of lights are on the tree for an opportunity to win a prize!
12/6 – 12/7 Holiday Lab at Imagination Station – Friday 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Saturday 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Imagination station. Experience some labs with holiday infusion! Member families and CAT employee families will get in free with valid ID.

12/7 Tis The Season 3.1 – Ugly Sweater Walk & Run – Registration begins at 7:00 AM at the Train Depot. Celebrate the season with a holiday 5K Run and Walk to kick off the holiday season! Enjoy the fun including a visit from Santa, candy canes, hot chocolate, long sleeve commemorative t-shirt and custom finishers medal!
12/7 Children’s Winter Holiday Crafts – 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the West Lafayette Public Library. Free event, come down, relax and make some crafts!
12/7 Film: The Polar Express – 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at The Long Center for the Performing Arts. Free admission, first come first served. Meet the Polar Express conductor. 12/8 Dickens at Duncan Hall – 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Duncan Hall. Enjoy live music, children’s crafts and tours of the decorated rooms and of course visit Santa Claus! Free event with refreshments and activities.
12/9 The Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at Purdue Memorial Union – 11:00 AM at the Purdue Memorial Union Great Hall. Witness the lighting of the Christmas tree led by Purdue University President Mitch Daniels.
12/11 Harrison High School Holiday Concert – 7:00 PM at Harrison High School. Performances by all concert bands.
12/12 Walt’s Other Pub – 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Santa is coming to Walt’s, bring the kids to see Santa. Santa will have small gifts for all the children and kids eat free!
12/13 – 12/15 Jefferson High School Holiday Spectacular Shows – Friday and Saturday 7:00 Pm Sunday 2:00 PM. View the performance of six choirs! Santa will be there to greet you and enjoy the cookie walk!
12/14 Christmas on the Avenue – 5:00 PM Join the first “Christmas on the Avenue” celebration at Sacred Grounds Reclaimed. See the living nativity from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM enjoy free hot chocolate and popcorn, and find that special gift from a local vendor!
12/14 Holidays Around The World – 7:30 PM at The Long Center For The Performing Arts. Join the musical tour of global holiday traditions.
12/14 Egg Ornaments at The Farm at Prophetstown – 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM at The Farm at Prophetstown State Park. Make beautiful ornaments from real duck and chicken eggs raised on the farm. These make beautiful gifts, popcorn and hot chocolate will be provided.
12/14 Skate with Santa – 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM – Enjoy donuts, hot cocoa, and skating with Santa! Bring your camera for some great photos. Reservations required for kids of skating age and size. 765-775-5110 $13 per person
12/14 Santa Visits Wolf Park – 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Wolf Park. Santa stops by every year to give treats to all the good animals at Wolf Park. Help decorate a tree with edible ornaments for the wolves, enjoy drinks and crafts and meet with Santa. See what unique way he arrives this year will it be by dog sled, horseback, helicopter?
12/14 Downtown Dickens – 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM Downtown Lafayette – Downtown Lafayette is briefly transformed into scenes from Victorian England. See scenes from “ A Christmas Carol ” performed, music from the Lafayette Vintage Brass Band and Jeff Anderson & Friends will perform. Visit and shop the local downtown stores!
12/14 Lunch & Movie – 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Klondike Library Branch of the Tippecanoe County Public Library. Come down to see “Jingle All The Way” Bring your lunch or snack and enjoy an afternoon at the library.
12/15 Santa Paws – 11:00 AM at Natalie’s Second Chance – All families welcome with or without pets. Have your pictures taken with Santa for a $10 donation. Cookies for the kids and treats for the dogs will be available.
12/17 Tippecanoe Chamber of Music Presents: Holiday Brass – 7:00 PM at St. John’s Episcopal Church. Hear a fabulous brass quintet perform holiday favorites!
